Doctor” Lou DiMieri is the founder of the East Coast Society of Paranormal Encounters. He founded the organization in the fall of 2000 with four active members. Currently the organization has over twenty-five active members and over four-hundrend honorary members. Dr. Lou and his associates have been involved in investigations at Fort Mifflin, Fort Delaware, Smyrna Public Library, Smyrna Opera House, several private residences, and his most current, the Rockwood Mansion where he co-hosts weekly ghost tours. Dr. Lou feels that paranormal investigation is “1/3 science, 1/3 intuition, and 1/3 luck.” He credits a great amount of his success to patience and merely being “in the right place, at the right time.” According to Dr. Lou, an individual can have all of the correct equipment and still not have success. “Paranormal activity isn’t a light switch that can be turned on and off at will.” There are many unknown factors, The stating point for all investigation is still eye witness encounters.

In addition to conducting investigations and ghost tours, Dr. Lou has been spending the past year and a half compiling ten years worth of research and eye witness ghost stories on audio CD’s. Dr. Lou refers to the CD’s as “audio books”. Each book contains 32 minutes of true ghost stories. The CD’s are titled Chilling Stories of the Paranormal volumes I – V.
